The Need to Feel Good

The Need to Feel Good

by Dustin Hawkins

The addict constantly craves to feel good which is why he or she needs God. God can help us to feel good in a seemingly dark world. God can give us a portion of His spirit where He can lift our mood, and cause charity to flow through us, and even from head to toe.

When an addict gets off of drugs they need something to step in and feel that void that the drugs once used to feel. The only power, in my humble opinion, that has the capacity to feel such a void is God, which is why it's so important that the addict seek with all of their might, mind, and strength to gain a relationship with God.Why is this so hard for the addict? Is it because Gods ways are a slow tutoring process instead of an immediate quick fix? Or is it because there is opposition in all things?-and this opposition, being the Dragon, knows all too well that if a person goes the way of God then they will have the greatest chance of truly changing their life. The Dragon then makes it hard for them to be open to this sort of life, where He floats misleading concepts into the minds of many in an effort to continue to lead them astray, for he knows that if he can keep them away from God then they will eventually go back to living the way that He would have them live, which is a dark, and even addictive way of life.
