A Swimming Experience

A. Swim, as many laps as possible in 15 minutes.

B. Watch an inspirational movie (an old movie that you have already seen)

C. Before bed, read for 25 minutes (spiritual read).

The Remote Experience

A. Go for an intense 25 minute hike, carrying a light load (camel back: book, water, protein bar, fruit). When I say intense, I mean get yourself on a clock and time yourself to a specific destination that you want to want to reach.

B. When destination is reached, then go straight into a cool down prayer. Give thanks for everything and look to be thankful for the beautiful experience you are having.

C. Read for 20 minutes

D. Take a picture, then write a small paragraph about the experience, and then text or email it to me. [email protected]

A Hiking Experience

A. Go for a 45 minute hike, moderate intensity, with carrying a light load (book, water, food) and being plugged in to an audio book on the way up, but then music on the way back.

B. At the top, work on prayer, gratitude, and meditative thought + Read for 20 minutes

C. On way down, let your listening to music lead you to day dreaming about positive things.

D. Send out an I love you text, or a text of appreciation to someone.

A. Run a little, but then walk a little for 20 minutes. Be plugged in to a good playlist, but work on prayer and gratitude along the way as well.

Play Like Kids

It’s important that we play like kids. When we stop playing we stop living. Keep playing. Play catch often; kick a ball; shoot hoops; throw a frisbee; play horse shoes; do anything that is child like and will lead you to fun competition, regardless of how old you may be.

 Jogging Sprinting Experience

A. Jog on grass for 7 minutes @ Z1 pace (prayer / gratitude)

B. On grass, sprint 60 meters; rest is walk back x 5

C. Jog on grass for 7 minutes @ Z1 pace (prayer / gratitude)

D. Read for 2o minutes on site of experience

The Most Important Work of the WAR program

Again, make this experience happen exactly in the way that it’s prescribed. This is the spiritual work of the program, and is considered to be the most important work of the WAR program. The gym experience is not enough. We have to be working on our spiritual condition the most if we are to eliminate the holes in our character. Addiction causes holes in our character.

Make it happen.

Walking & Jogging Experience

Note: A repeat from last week. If you did not do it, then do it. If you did it, then do it again but in a different location.

A. In a unique area (one that allows for nostalgia), walk for 10 minutes being plugged into an audio book. Then jog for 10 minutes now being plugged into inspirational music. Experience Note: do this in a unique location; be creative. Switch terrain often: from grass, to road, to side walk, etc….Make this experience happen in the exact way that it is prescribed.

A. Run 30 seconds @ 80%; walk 30 seconds x 5

B. 30 burpee broad jumps– on some grass, AFAP

C. Run for 10 minutes @ z1 pace (prayer & gratitude)

D. End up at a park and read for 15 minutes + say a prayer out loud.

E. Take a picture and text or email me a short paragraph describing the experience.

The Remote Experience

Experience Note: do this one again, but in a new location, and call a different person. Make it happen.

A. 20 minute light jog / walk (plugged in to audio book + music during cool down)

B. Call someone back that you’ve been meaning to call back.

C. Creative write for 20 minutes.
